Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems on various construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure is built to code, functioning safely and efficiently, and meets project specifications. Responsibilities:
- Install, service, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, panels, breakers, outlets, switches, fixtures, and related components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues (shorts, faulty wiring, tripped breakers, dead circuits, fixture failures, etc.).
- Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting wiring, testing circuits, replacing worn components, and verifying load capacity.
- Handle punch list and turnover electrical items for apartments, new builds, and property rehabs (e.g., outlet/switch replacements, fixture installs, panel corrections).
- Install and repair branch circuits, service panels, lighting, and low-voltage systems (where applicable and certified).
- Test systems for proper operation, grounding, and code compliance.
- Communicate clearly with property managers, clients, and team members about work performed and any recommendations.
- Maintain accurate service records and report job status.
- Use hand/power tools, wire strippers, conduit benders, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment safely.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and local regulations.
Experience:
- 1–3+ years of hands-on electrical experience (residential service preferred).
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation to our Chattanooga service area.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Tennessee Limited Licensed Electrician (LLE) certification or ability to obtain one preferred (check local requirements for permitting).
- Experience with common residential electrical repairs/installs (a plus).
