Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional service in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Duties:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), and related mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC issues (electrical, mechanical, refrigerant-related)
- Handle punch list and turnover HVAC items for apartments, new builds, and property rehabs.
- Conduct routine inspections of HVAC/R equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as pipe repairs or replacements as needed.
- Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs requiring metal fabrication.
- Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports for all maintenance activities performed.
- Support property maintenance efforts by ensuring HVAC systems operate efficiently and safely in compliance with local codes and regulations.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC/R systems with a strong background in construction or property maintenance environments.
- Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing boiler operation, appliance repair, welding, and general equipment repair.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design principles to facilitate accurate troubleshooting.
- Field service experience working directly on-site at commercial or residential properties.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation to our Chattanooga service area.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC installations and repairs is a plus.
- Ability to use specialized tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices effectively.
