Position overview
We are seeking a thorough, dependable Residential Cleaner to clean houses, apartments and rental units for our property management clients. Most work is move-out and turnover cleaning that gets a vacant home ready for its next resident.
The right candidate has a sharp eye for detail, works efficiently without supervision and leaves every home ready for inspection. Turnover work runs on tight deadlines, so reliability matters as much as skill.
Responsibilities
- Complete move-out, move-in and turnover cleans to a rent-ready standard
- Deep clean kitchens, including the inside of ovens, refrigerators, microwaves, cabinets and drawers
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including tubs, showers, toilets, sinks, tile and grout
- Dust, wipe and clean baseboards, doors, trim, blinds, window sills, ceiling fans and light fixtures
- Vacuum, sweep and mop all floors, and spot-clean carpets as needed
- Clean interior windows, mirrors and glass doors
- Remove trash and leftover items from vacant units
- Follow the work order and cleaning checklist for each property
- Report damage, maintenance issues or pest problems found on site
- Track and restock cleaning supplies and care for company equipment
- Lock up and secure each property when the job is complete
- Communicate professionally with property managers, residents and team members
Requirements
- Previous residential or commercial cleaning experience
- Strong attention to detail and pride in a thorough finish
- Dependable and punctual, with the ability to meet turnover deadlines
- Able to work independently and manage time across several properties in a day
- Knowledge of cleaning products and their safe use on different surfaces
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Able to lift 30 lbs, climb stairs and stand, bend or kneel for extended periods
- Trustworthy and professional in clients' homes and around residents
- Able to pass a background check [and drug screening, if applicable]
Preferred qualifications
- 1+ year of move-out, turnover or post-construction cleaning experience
- Experience working with property management companies or apartment communities
- Carpet cleaning or floor care experience, including extractors and buffers
- Familiarity with reading work orders and completing checklists on a phone or tablet
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
